Written Coverage

I first entered journalism because of my love for creative writing. Now, I channel that drive into my news writing. Whether it is a breaking story or an enterprise piece, writing has always been the backbone of my passion for journalism.

Columbia Daily Spectator

I joined the University News staff of the Columbia Daily Spectator in February, 2025. During my time with Spectator so far, I have written over 100 stories, covering the detainment of Columbia affiliates, campus protests, the University administration, and federal investigations into Columbia and Barnard College.

The Harvard Crimson

In the summer of 2024, I earned the opportunity to intern in the newsroom of The Harvard Crimson after my high school newspaper won the inaugural National English Honor Society - Harvard Crimson Award. While in Cambridge, I interviewed students and locals on Harvard's campus, on sidewalks in the pouring rain, and in train stations to report on public transportation.

The Blueprint

I wrote for my high school newspaper, The Blueprint, for three years. Serving as the editor-in-chief during my senior year, I lead our staff to win its first Pacemaker Award from the National Scholastic Press Association, as well as a Silver Crown from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association.

In the spring of 2024, I was named Florida Student Journalist of the Year and a runner-up for National Student Journalist of the Year. My SJOY portfolio contains more detailed reflections on my high school coverage, but I have included some of my favorite news and feature pieces here.
